An Orthopedic Technician is a healthcare professional who assists physicians and nurses in the treatment of patients with musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. They specialize in applying, adjusting, and removing casts, splints, and braces, as well as fitting orthopedic devices that support healing and mobility. Orthopedic Technicians also educate patients on proper care of immobilization devices, monitor for complications, and maintain equipment and supplies, playing a key role in ensuring safe, effective treatment and patient comfort throughout the recovery process.
