An Ultrasound Technologist, also known as a Sonographer, is a skilled healthcare professional who specializes in using high-frequency sound waves to produce diagnostic images of the body’s internal structures. They perform and analyze ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring medical conditions involving organs, tissues, and blood flow. Sonographers prepare patients for procedures, operate and maintain imaging equipment, capture precise anatomical images, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the exam. They work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to provide accurate diagnostic information that supports effective treatment planning.
