A Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum Registered Nurse (LDRP RN) is a specialized healthcare professional who provides comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth experience. LDRP RNs support patients during labor and delivery, assist physicians or midwives during childbirth, and continue to care for both mother and baby during recovery and the postpartum period. They monitor vital signs, administer medications, manage fetal monitoring equipment, and educate new parents on newborn care and breastfeeding. Working collaboratively with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals, LDRP RNs ensure a safe, supportive, and positive birthing experience.
